BHUTAN - THE LAND OF THUNDER DRAGON

Bhutan is a tiny and remote kingdom nestling in the Himalayas between its powerful neighbours, India and China. The India-Bhutan border at Phuntsholing clearly separates two very different peoples and cultures. The border is separated by a long wall with a single Bhutanese gate. The entry gate into the town is manned by the Indian Army and Bhutanese Army guards. The Druk is the "Thunder Dragon" of Tibetan and Bhutanese mythology and a Bhutanese national symbol.
